Join us after the JSFG meeting to discuss WIA funding and how one can apply for this money. Presented by Sam Zonker, 10 year expert in helping those in job search. This meeting is FREE to attend.
The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is a federal legislation that funds agencies that support what are termed "dislocated" and "adult" workers who are unemployed. In this area, there are several different local offices, called One Stops, which provide services. Each year the Workforce Investment Act provides approximately 3 billion dollars of funding to help those who are out of work get back in the workforce.
Why is this important to you? Because not only do they have excellent resources to help in your job search, you may also be eligible for up to $5000 in training dollars. |
